Become a passenger of the Mediendome.

Because the projection surface of the dome fills the entire field of vision, the visitor sits practically in the middle of the images. The boundaries between reality and virtual reality blur - visitors not only see, they feel how they fly through space or rush through dizzying loops in the extraterrestrial roller coasters of "Spacepark 360". Each quarter, the Media Dome offers between 25 and 30 different shows ranging from adult education to children's stories.
The focus is on astronomical themes about the depth, beauty and peculiarities of space. But thanks to its versatile projection technology, the Media Dome can also tell children's stories, explain complex things vividly or turn music into a holistic experience.

The Mediendom is located on the campus of the University of Applied Sciences in Kiel-Dietrichsdorf in the basement of the large auditorium building and is part of the Center for Cultural and Scientific Communication. The entrance is on the Langensaal side of the building.
Access to the Media Dome is barrier-free.

Die Preise für die einzelnen Shows liegen in der Regel zwischen 7 bis 11 Euro (ausgenommen Sonderveranstaltungen). Den jeweiligen Eintrittspreis einer Show können Sie der jeweiligen Info-Seite zur Show oder der Preisliste entnehmen.

Ermäßigungen gelten für Arbeitslose, Auszubildende, Familien ab 4 Pesonen (min. 2 Kinder), Förderverein Computermuseum, Freiwilligendienstleistende, Geflüchtete, mediaproducer.net.e.V., Schüler*innen, Schwerbehinderte, Senioren ab 65 Jahren, Studierende.

Direction

Arrival by car:
Follow the A215 direction Kiel and take the exit "Ostuferhafen". Stay on the Theodor-Heuss Ring direction "Ostuferhafen" and take the exit "Ostuferhafen/Fachhochschule".

Shortly after the Jet petrol station on the right hand side, the left lane leads through the underpass in the direction of "Ostuferhafen/Fachhochschule/Mediendom". From there simply follow the signs to "Mediendom".

Arrival by bus & ferry:
You can reach the Mediendom at any time by bus line 11. It is best to get off at the bus stop "Fachhochschule". On Mondays - Fridays you can also take the express bus line 60S. Then get off at "Grenzsstraße".
On Mondays - Fridays you can also take the Schwentine ferry F2 from Reventlou.

For private travel by bus, there is a bus parking lot available on the campus of the Kiel University of Applied Sciences. This is only a few minutes' walk away on Schwentinestrasse.
