Short description:
Los juglares del grabado (Minstrels of the Graphic) is a project by the artist collective Doña Auslenda, consisting of Paola Donato and Elkin Salamanca. It was created after their return to Colombia, where, after four years of living and working in Germany, they initiated an artistic travel and exchange project. The exhibition brings together their own works, collective works, and audiovisual documentation of a creative process that took them through various Colombian regions. The project was realized in collaboration with communities in Coyaima (Mesas de Inca) with the indigenous Pijao community, in Palmira with the La Nueva Siembra collective, in Cali with students from the School of Fine Arts, and in the post-conflict community of Tierra Grata (former FARC members). Printmaking workshops were held in each of these locations as a means of reflecting on territory, memory, and self-organized processes. The exhibition features printing plates, prints, installations, travel diaries, and videos documenting the process. The works poetically and critically explore the tensions and hopes revealed during the journey and provide space for the diverse voices of the communities visited.
