Changing special exhibitions with objects from the rich museum collection shed light on art, culture and history of the 19th and 20th century city. They complement the permanent exhibition on maritime city history in the Schifffahrtsmuseum in the Fischhalle.

In the historical vaulted cellar of the Warleberger Hof, a small exhibition on the older history of the town is also presented.
