Falckensteiner Strand

The Falckensteiner Strand in Kiel-Friedrichsort has a wide sandy beach with coastal dunes. In the south, a dike protects the hinterland from flooding. In summer, when the ferries arrive, the beach is particularly popular with families, as there are shallow water areas along the shore. The beach is also supervised. Because the fjord is very narrow here, the ships pass impressively close to the beach.
