the animal park Hammer

The 15.2 hectare enclosure Hammer is located between Ihlkatenweg and Ihlseeweg. Here live Dexter cattle, mouflon, red deer, gray moorland sheep and fallow deer. You can reach the animal enclosure if you turn left from Rendburger Landstraße into Ihlkatenweg and then left into Ihlseeweg.

It is divided into four different scenic areas: the forest, an area with rough grassland, the Kuhlensee and the edge of the lowland to the Kuhfurtsau. The rough grassland area is of particular importance for the protection of biotopes and species, as it contains several plant species on the Red List.
