_____
The structurally defined area is characterized by prominent buildings and uses, such as the Seeburg as an institution of Kiel University, facilities of sailing clubs and the Kiel Yacht Club, the representative office of the state government of Schleswig-Holstein with a wide variety of government buildings and the seat of parliament, the World Economic Institute, as well as gastronomy uses along the promenade.
