Although we are committed to the cultivation of the Lower German language and tradition, we are far from being old-fashioned. We show plays that entertain our audiences in a true-to-life and time-critical way. With these plays we want to show the independence of the Low German language as well as document the importance of Low German in our country.

It is therefore part of our cultural claim to carefully break down the expectations of our viewers and, in addition to the humorous plays, to show plays that have initially been classified as unusual for the Niederdeutsche Theater. Examples: "Misery" (after Stephen King), "Goot gegen Nordwind" (after Daniel Glattauer) or "Keenohrhaas" (after the film "Keinohrhasen" by and with Til Schweiger). Well? Have you become curious?
