TOUR ROUTE TO SCHILKSEE VIA FRIEDRICHSORT AND FALCKENSTEIN

From Holtenau you follow the signposting on the Ostsee-Küsten-Radweg with the corresponding symbol and the destination Schilksee. Shortly after the cycle path leads away from the expressway, turn right and follow the Falckenstein destination. After turning right from the Palisadenweg, stay on the road and drive below the dike to the information board of the Friedrichsort fortress.
Approx. 100 metres later, before you reach the "Deichperle" restaurant, take the dike (push the bike) to station 16. From here, return along the dike to Falckensteiner Strand and follow the cycle path sign Ostsee-Küsten-Radweg again to Schilksee.
In Schilksee turn right into the street "Drachenbahn" at the height of the skyscrapers. At the end turn right and you will reach the Baltic Sea. After the trip between the Olympic Centre and the marina, turn right into the Starweg (pedestrian zone). At the end at the bus stop, take the road to the right to "Fördestraße" and turn left along the cycle path back to Kiel. Follow the signs with the point for cycle route 1 to Kiel-Zentrum.
